Our Story
6 Band Events is a full time-service lifestyle events planning company that is dedicated to curating events that are inclusive of the LGBTIQ community, allies and non LGBTIQ+ community as a way of creating safe spaces, awareness, visibility and establishing unity within commuties.
We are a 100% black youth -owned company that has hosted more than 30 projects since its inception in August 2019. Our passion for events has motivated us to expand from hosting our own events to now accommodating other brands to experience the 6Band Events Magic. We offer full house event planning, consulting, and supervision for both corporate and social events.
We continue to empower the community at large through performance opportunities, showcasing of different crafts at our events, and partnerships with other upcoming initiatives and movements. We also acknowledge that the LGBTIQ+ community is still amongst the most marginalised group in South Africa and globally, and we would like to flip the script and showcase the potential the community has through their diverse skills and talents which have contributed immensely to the economic development of South Africa and the rest of the world.
